It is a quiet morning. I made it to Memphis yesterday and now I am all settled in. I feel excited on the inside. Full of expectation and questions about the trip ahead. As I sit and write down my thoughts I am in total dibelief that this time has come. I have done this many times in my head already; however, now I am finally living out a dream and a prayer. I am so blessed to be able to go and experience something that God placed in my heart a while ago.
I have named my blog "The Blooming Lily" because I can see more and more how God takes care and will take care of every one of my needs just like the lily. I believe this particular journey is teaching me that I never have to toil or worry. I believe this journey is teaching me that I do not have to be concerned about my needs being met. Just like God watches over the lily, He watches over me and provides for me in abundance.
Preparing for this trip has been a faith builder too:) I am thankful for all of the help and assistance that I have been given. Thank you very much to my brothers and sisters in Christ. The contributions, words and prayers have meant more than you will ever know. I have to mention all people associated with my job (co-workers, parents and my little ones:). Thank you for the support and encouragement. Thank you to my family, friends and to the one I love. I will be far away but I will be near in thought and spirit.
Looking forward to a lot of growth (spiritually, mentally, professionally). I guess I should look forward to physical growth too, because I'll have my "Reebok Shapers" on;). Looking forward to learning more about God and His character. Looking forward to learning more about God and His creation. Looking forward to learning more about me. Looking forward to learning about how to care for others.
